Since Lee Dismuke, no police officer has faced any repercussions for their deadly force whether it be on or off duty shooting, in custody deaths, or deadly high speed pursuits.
From 1987 - current day on average there has been two deadly force incidents a year. Since Tom McNamara has been Rockford’s mayor (2017- current day) that number rises to 3.6 deadly force incidents a year.
The goal of this is to educate the Rockford community on the history of these incidents and the increasing amount of instances in recent history.
